I had an inspiring moment on a recent trip to Vegas. Weird place for it? I thought so.

Always waiting for the right one
Not always knowing when it arrives
Letting them slip by a tragedy
Noticing them a blessing

This life of mine is time spent between them
Anxiously waiting for the next one
Keeps me pushing through to get there
Having faith the next one is near

When it arrives I know it
When I am in it I am overwhelmed
To be with the people who matter most
Just to be alive to experience it

How many times they have surprised me
Just when I doubted another was waiting
Fills my heart with its memories
Opens me to new possibilities

Thank you for being there to share it
I know it would not happen otherwise
Your presence alone creates it
Your smile makes it more special

Now I patiently wait for the next one
I walk a little easier through my day
I smile thinking about what it may be
I shall never forget the ones we shared
