What could you possible be missing if you have it all?
She was leaning against the window as he came in. Her long black wavy hair hanging loosely down her shoulders. He sighed at the sight of her, taking off his tie and letting it slip from his hand. She was wearing her nightgown. White lace. Again he was late to come home. He had realized long ago that sleep and dreams had suddenly become his wife's enemy without him by her side.
"Now what are you missing?" he said in his soft tone. The voice of a singer. He used to sing her to sleep. "Why dont you want to talk? You dont look at me. What happened in between us that has changed your voice? Changed the way you are." he walked towards her with slow steps. Her gaze out at the window and not at him. "Your so different. Your another woman. What i feel in your lips-" he cupped her chin and turned her head. His thumb brushing her soft lips. "Your body and your hair. . .the same emptiness I find in ice." she turned her head away from his gaze and back out the window.

Outside was 2 limos that waited for her and even her own car with driver and all. She sighed and became depressed at the sight of it. The bedroom she had once admired was now her prison. A room so big she felt was wasted on her and her shadow.

"What are you missing now?" he asked again as he turned and began to unbutton his white collar shirt. She could tell that he was getting angry. "Do you not have clothes upon clothes to show off"
"yes" she said in a soft whisper.
"Do you not have food on your table"
"Yes." she hugged herself. Staring down at her pale feet. "You have lived in this world without a worry, simple and clean. I have given you a castle. What are you missing now"
His tone was angry. He was frustrated that she wasn't happy. All he wanted was her happiness.
She turned to look at him. Standing infront of the fireplace, flames behind his lean body. She stepped foward.

"I'm missing a rose. Just a rose." She stepped closer to him, her gown dragging on the wood floors. "I need a rose. Just one rose that can make me feel that I'm alive, that I tremble, that I speak and breathe. That love still exists!" she grabbed at his strong arms in which he used to hold her with. "I'm missing a rose. Just one rose. That will make me dream and forget the routine of the world I live in. That love hasn't died yet. "

He sighed and looked away. He embraced her and smelled her hair. The same scent since they first met.

"That cannot be it. You have a garden outside. Flowers from all over the world." She pushed herself back and shook her head. She stepped away from his embrace and hugged herself again. Tears choking her throat. He didn't understand. "Tell me what your missing now?" he asked again. "Was my fault that great? What can I offer you? What do you wish to have? " he placed his hands over her shoulders. "Do you want me to buy you two wings made of wind? perhaps a plane?" he noticed her shoulders quivering. He was sure she was crying.Hhe hated when she cried. He quickly turned her around to face him. Her hair covered her face as she bowed her head. "I have left you at peace and I live in that God forsaken office. What are you missing now?!"

She pushed him away and let herself fall against the wall. Her head turned, her chest heaving with sobs. He stood looking at her.

"Do you go hungry or suffer from cold? Tell me"
"No." she said in between her sobs.
"Have I been unfaithful to you? Tell me"
"No"
"Every single minute and second they call for you the lady of the house. What are you missing now?!?!"

He clentched his fists and stepped foward. He would never lay a hand on her. He loved her too much. Memorized every single part of her body to ever leave a mark on its perfection.

"Im missing a rose. Just a rose." she said softly as she looked at him. Her hair parting to show her pain stricken face. Her dark green eyes with crystal tears. If only he could make her tears into diamonds. Such beauty. "I need a rose. Just one rose." She reached out to him. Her hands falling on his hard chest. "Not from a butler, not from a maid. Not from a prince or a mayor. Just one rose. . ." she rested her head on his chest. "From you." the tears began to stain his shirt. she clentched the cloth in her small fists. "You give me everything money can buy. But never your company. Never. . .a simple I love you."

He wrapped his arms around her small body. He nestled against her neck. He hated leaving her alone. But he wanted to give her everything. . . .never did he guess. . she would simply want him in the end. He let his lips brush against her ear.
"I love you."
