I was explaining to a friend the other day what it was like to be in the sea. For me - its much like being inside something that is a living organism. Should anything happen - there is nothing that you can do but go with it. You are completely in the hands of mother nature - in every way. There is constant movement around you, and you have to trust that it will protect you.
Coming from a surfing background, I have learnt to develop the ultimate respect for it. I choose to live on its doorstep now, and pray that should anything happen - then it will spare and protect me.
Whenever I am angry or sad, I go to the sea. It comforts me, and I can dream in peace.
Loving the sea is a way of life... and not just a life of a sailor.
This is a selection of New Zealand Sea images.
A friend requested that I put them on WDC, as he has never seen the sea before.
He wanted images that were raw, and hadn't been altered - or look like they should be in a tourism brochure.
All of these images are completely unaltered.
I hope that you all enjoy them.

p.s. I used to be a surfer, hence why there are a number of surf images. (I was a bit obsessed - it runs in the family.)
