Staying Me From Within

The winds have blown me down a different path
I no longer travel in the direction
i thought i wanted to take
instead i made the wind switch directions
for i am air
and im perfectly able to do so
Is this course better?
will i stay safe?
there's no telling
for i have just begun the new path
just accepted in mind to go with it

new challenges will arise
and mind blocks will try to stop me from succeeding

I will look at things differently
i will not just hear a conversation
i will be the conversation
taking in every detail
every expression
through written words

eventually, slowly but surely
i will become totally secluded in myself
using my mind as my boss
i will do my new job
creating, drawing and thinking will be all i know

but yet through all this
i will still remain as me
staying me from within
