Santa and Jesus..........not Santa or Jesus. |
A Christmas poem It was Christmas eve morning; when Mrs. Claus said, "Where is Santa........surely he's not still in bed!?! There's so much to do; pack the sleigh, check the map Go find him, dear elves; he has no time to nap!" They rushed to his bedroom, and peeked in the door Santa was praying; his knees on the floor. His hands were clasped under his thick wooly beard "Dear Jesus, I need You", is what they then heard "The children are waiting; depending on me to place gifts and toys under each Christmas tree. I must be quick and not make a peep I've got to get done while they're all still asleep." "They've patiently waited so long for this day They've minded their parents and kept up their grades. They'll set out warm cookies so I'll have a snack And watch the news on TV so my course they can track." "I'm humbled, Lord Jesus, by their confidence in me Help me to show them that it's You they should seek. For all good things come from Your Father above Faith, hope, and joy........peace, life, truth and love." "They hope that PlayStations and cell phones appear Stockings with money and milk chocolate reindeer. No mention is made of the great gift that You gave You came to this earth, so their souls You could save." "So go with me, Lord Jesus; please show me the way Let me and my giving reflect YOU Christmas day. Let Your spirit of truth pierce all of their hearts And expose the facade of tinsel and gift cards." "Please help me, Lord Jesus, my work won't mean much Without Your divine guidance and Your special touch. Then I'll do my job well, and when I am through I pray they realize that I am nothing without You." -Cindy Clabough 2006- |
