I’m warmed no longer by the summers lived;
I’m worried about winters to be faced.
I soar no more now that my wings are clipped.
I hope my final walk is not ill paced.
The summer of life was really hot
But this winter is truly full of chill.
While thoughts of depression I harbour not,
To face the icy winter I lack will.
Lord, warm me when it freezes all around,
So my weakened knees don’t fail on the way.
Let, in my final days, your grace abound;
Guide me towards your feet and there me lay.
You made me glide in life through the summer.
Please hold my hand as I trudge through winter.
