a poem written from experience...and not just my own

A face so dark
such mystery
a silent spark
of misery.

What once was whole
now lies in two.
The mind of a child
wasn't good for you.

Are you proud?
Is this enough?
Should she just
call your bluff?

A blade of doubt
slices through flesh
and then leaks out
the blood so fresh.

She was perfect
in her ways.
She wanted nights;
you gave her days.

You opposed;
she collapsed.
The friendships broke,
her strength relapsed.

She is good now.
She is well.
She is fine again.
