Euphoria Meets the Starry Night

I sat to write a sonnet
Melodic ballets of poetry
Praising a perfect lover
Or perhaps some ancient tree

I imagined a dewy orchid
An oasis only I could discover
Exquisitely delicate beauty
Hidden by forest cover

I began to feel a mist
Kisses from crystal rain
Serenading me with its song
Sparkling like champagne

I drew in the inviting fragrance
Of the orchids' alluring pheromone
So relaxing and meditative
Was the flora eau de cologne

I became a carefree fairy
Living amidst this bliss
Dancing among the ladybugs
Thriving in my euphoric abyss

I sat to write a sonnet
The sweetest words a poet write
I fell in love with my imagination
More vivid than the starry night
