Cross-eyed heart

How can I hate you?
Do I then love you?

Never known such a situation
where the mind is split in two
worse still is the suspicion
my heart is broken in two too!

Guess this is fate's retribution
For taking too much pride
In loyalties of my emotion
I look intently for a place to hide!

One eye has tears of guilt
The other sports a twinkle of love
In this cross-eyed mind's tilt
the poor heart struggles in it's alcove!

Will he ever forgive?
What if he forgets?
Now that I decided to give
My love to both with no regrets!
