an urban myth about a witch who had her baby stolen. this is my first peice ive done.
The endless forest of broadleaved trees sung a panicking, scathing song in the gales of the nightime breeze. they loomed like giants waving their arms in the dark and above them tall black mountains.

below the collosal giants a small wooden house stood shreiking in the wind. the wood of the house, and the window panes rattled and everything shook inside.the garden was not well kept and weeds grew within the beds, and vines hanging from the house gave it the appearance of an old witches cottage.

inside a middle aged woman, who was a witch, stood by a gas cooker preparing her dinner. she was tall, but slow and made careful movements about her. the atmosphere in the room was lonley and th only sound that could be heard was the gales, and now the boiling water.
There was no TV, radio or even heating, and the only light came from the fire. the smell of the food was masked by the sweet aroma of incense.

the womean, whos name was evie, dished up the meal, which smelt delicious, and sat by the fire to eat. As she was doing so, evie decided to do something she had been debating to herself about for months: to cast a spell and summon a spirit to tell her about her lost son, and she realised that using a ouiji board would be the best method.

She went up to the attic with a few candles, a crystal cup and the board, and set it up so that she could easily do what she wanted. Evie then entered a trance like state and called for her deceist mother to be presant.

Evies first question was about where her son was now.

the cup moved to "alone"

the woman was very curious, what was alone suppost to mean? it could mean anything. next she asked the spirit:
"is he with his father"

the cup moved to "no"

finally, she asked her final questoin;
"where is he?"
but before the cup could move, she heard a knock at the door that sartled her so badly that her hand jumped off the glass and the spell was broken. the cup would not, and wasnt going to move.

frustraited, she got up to see who the rare visitor was..
