Hardship

Hardship arrives crushing your dreams,
Making it difficult to achieve happiness,
Faith fades as disappointment beams,
Life drowns as it loses all of its completeness.

The blow will come out of no where,
Leaving you suddenly lost as you question why,
It will knock hope from here to there,
As you kiss every trace of normalcy goodbye.

Do not pout and hold your head down,
You will not be able to see a shred of hope,
Hold your faith high and lose your frown,
Be stronger and soon enough you will learn to cope.

Do not hesitate, get back up,
Start by moving one foot in front of the other,
Be patient and do not give up,
Comfort can be found by success of another.

After the hardship is over,
Do not forget to be proud of your survival,
For a while you will not suffer,
But keep your eyes open for the next arrival.
