REFRAIN:
On that horrible day,
Six years ago,
We lost the love of nearly everyone we know.
The New Yorkers are sad,
So is the whole country.
9/11's passed but its evil's still with me.
Halfway round the country,
The plane takes a turn.
No one sees it coming,
But you know how it works.
In peaceful New York City you know what blows,
It's like a bomb blew,
And the building split in two.
REFRAIN
Some may say who cares,
Or say 'hey what's the difference!'
But others are the wise,
We mourn in endless silence.
Believe in what we are,
What the USA can be.
Let us keep on fightin',
Lets keep our country free.
I wrote this song a year ago while riding in my daddy's car. It was 9/11 and we were listening to the radio, they were telling about what happened five years ago and I just started singing. Soon enough, I had this song. Note, I was 11 when I wrote it. I think this is by far the best work I have ever done at that age, maybe even the only decent work I did at that age at all.
