poem about roads taken, or not
Y (Fork)

Ahead I see, dimly, with the blissful ignorance of youth,
something new and exciting, for one as I with a short tooth.
Is that a fork in the road, must I again choose?
Which path do I take, surely you muse.
Consider I the consequence?
Is there something to gain?
Or something to lose?
Slowly heeding the voices which I rebelled so strong,
realizing now we all dance to a beat of a similar song.
I wasn't a child, not yet a man,
whats that ahead? Another fork in this confounded road!!!
Some roads are heavily traveled,
I can see this one is too,
but the fork comes so quickly,
I haven't the time to choose!!!
My chances seem fair, as the bastard son of time,
swings his pendulum, back and forth,
to and fro, tick tock tick tock,
where went the time I dont remember a clock?
It must needs be I took the right path,
else the Gods and the demons,
all had their little laugh !!
Whats that ahead,? another Y comes into view.............
drink of this precious memory, remember her well,
this fork in the road leads to Heaven or Hell?
Times of regret, times of great accomplishment,
a life in the 'tween years what had it meant?
Knowing now if only but then,
each passing fork could I choose once again.
