its about life and how as teenagers we tend to just speed through it. hope u like it!
I live like I’m a driver
A junkie behind the wheel
A danger to all around me
And yet it’s my life I aim to steal

In this new life we’re living
The struggle is inevitably clear
There’s a fight every day
We fight to escape the fear

An honor student
I have read all the books
I have the smarts, the talent, in abundance
But unfortunately non of the looks

And in my life’s mirror
That junkie hovers tauntingly
She’s pretty, wild, happy
She’s begging to be free

But then there’s this thing inside
My conscious pulling me back
This struggle is consistent
I keep steering off the track

Se drugs alcohol
The TV girl’s smile
For a minute I seem to hope
If only for a while

I want to be different
Yet I want to be her
Every turn has consequences
I could crash my fragile car

It seems it is inevitable
I have to make a choice
Is it the girl who loves to party
or the honor student who has no voice?

I’m still the junky behind the steering wheel
The wheel that defines me
I could race on and join the others
But its safer to walk you see.

To all teens, with the risk of sounding lame and “geeky” I leave you with this message

If you rush through life (drinking, driving and partying excessively) then it in my opinion that you’ll forget to live it. Stop and enjoy the small things that happen during a lifetime, your lifetime.

During my hypothetical car ride, I chose to stop and walk instead. What about you? There is enough side walk for all of us!!!

hope you liked it though!
