Love
A word that is yet undefined
A word which could mean so much
And yet mean so little
To some it is explained as a willingness
A willingness to give your life in exchange for that of another
A willingness to give up anthing you have
Just to see another smile
A willingness to surrender
Surrender all your time to but one person
The one whom you love
A devotion you might say
A devotion of your life
To but one for always and eternal

Though some may say I love you
To them it is but a mask
Worn as a disguise
One to hide the truth
The truth that hides inside their eyes
Longing to get out
Wanting to be free
Yet deep inside they fear the truth
Not yet knowing it's true meaning
Afraid of what the truth could do
They keep it to themselves
Bottled up inside them
Just waiting to explode

This one word though undefined
Means so much
Controlling so many lives
For better or for worse
The choice of which is yours to make...
