The way I imagined the rain to be while driving down the road a while ago.
The sky that was clear blue yesterday is now a pale grey, with dark clouds laced across the horizon. The road is slick and shiny, reflecting car headlights. Raindrops stream down from the car windows, like tears from an unseen eye. The world is silent, except for the soft pattering of rain. Windshield wipers clear away water in synchronized rhythm. The roses that have been planted near an old and long forsaken gravestone are brown and drooping, like a dog's tail when he is afraid.
