This is a poem I wrote about and boy who was in love with a girl who lived by the sea.
Many, many a year ago,
In a cottage by the sea,
Lived my dearest Elizabeth,
Elizabeth Jen Honeybee.

We loved like no other,
No other like us,
In the cottage by the sea,
Where lived my dear Elizabeth,
Elizabeth and me.

Her lips red like roses,
Her eyes bright like stars,
Our love was as deep as the sea,
I loved my dear, sweet Elizabeth,
Just as she loved me.

We would walk together,
For miles and miles,
Seeing nothing but sand and sea,
But that did not deter my sweet ‘Lizabeth,
Just Elizabeth and me.

One dark, moony night,
On a Midsummer’s Eve,
In the cottage by the sea,
The forces of Darkness discovered the love,
Of Elizabeth and me.

Shadows fell,
And the Dark made welcome,
In a cottage by the sea,
To find the ruby lips and starry eyes,
Of Elizabeth Jen Honeybee.

They stole her heart,
They broke her dreams,
Her life grew as dark as the late-night sea,
In that way,
The Darkness stole away,
My Elizabeth from me.

The sun grew cold,
The water wild,
The cottage destroyed by the sea,
The stars never fell,
The flowers wouldn’t bloom,
Since Elizabeth was stolen from me.

And I could only cry,
For the days of us,
Walking by the sea,
A young boy and girl,
A girl by the name,
Of Elizabeth Jen Honeybee.
