Poetry is a connection with one’s inner person
It is the way of expressing one’s personal ideals
A way to show beauty when others see ugly
A way to feel pleasures where others feel only pains
A way to open the mind and experience the world in a different sense

A Leaf in some minds is a beautiful thing
While in others it a menace that clutters the yard
While still others take pity on it, saying it has lived a sad & painful life
But the point of writing about a Leaf isn’t to tell you how miserable it’s life is
But to show that each person has a different opinion

In poetry it doesn’t matter what others think because they’re not writing it, you are!
This means you can for once tell your side of the story
and not have to worry about what others think

Sociality has drugged us to believe what its says is right
and our own thoughts are not important
Sociality says growing up in the hood makes you a bad person
Sociality says being black means you’re going to kill the dozens
This is not always the case
Not every black person wants to kill people and just because they have been around
Guns doesn’t mean they going to shoot up a school

If I could paint sociality it would be painted with a big ugly devil with hundreds of people in it’s hands, and a world of slaves bowing at it’s feet 
so they won’t become it’s next meal like those who have refuse and resisted. 

If people would just open their minds and take a second look
Before listen to this devil then maybe just maybe they’ll see the world isn’t all that bad     
In fact it’s quite beautiful once you get pass the human devastation

If could paint the planet we call home
I would paint a white swan in a beautiful lake
A crystal clear lake, full of life but is being polluted by
an oil rag of fear and carelessness
A small boy standing up to the big bad bully knowing he is going to get hurt
But does it anyway because he thinks is right
This is how I would paint planet Earth
