Daddy where did you go?
You left me so long ago
The kids at school all laughed as I cried, on parents day, when you didn’t stop by.
They told me you didn’t love me, and I was the reason why you left Mommy and me.
I never got to hold your hand, blow bubbles or play in the sand.
Do you ever think about me?
Wonder where I may be?
Or am I a distant memory, that you never want to see?
I think about you, Dad.
Your face I want to see, smiling or even mad at me.
I want to know that you’re proud Dad, that I’m going to be a College Grad.
I’m going to be a lawyer Dad; I can’t wait to pass the Bar.
Someday I’ll get married in white, do you want to walk me down the aisle?
I want to raise four kids, with my husband by my side.
I plan to hold their little hands Dad, and walk along the beach.
I’ll play with them in the sand.
As for the bubbles Dad, the air will be filled.
What do I wish for, you wonder?
I wish that I will get to meet you Dad, I’m scared I never will.
