This is the chapter one of a long story I am making.
Peter Preyer and His Eight Shrines of trial

                                    The unusual morning

Helgen Street, House No.7, Peter Preyer, our hero was in his slumber while the sun was twinkling high above the sky, casting its shadow of light on the earth. Peter Preyer, our hero was a young man of about 21 years of age. He was tall in a normal way and was kind of built and slim. He had bright reddish green eyes that sparkled in the sunlight. His hair reached down his shoulders and was black in colour. He was not too white or too black. He was a man who used to have many hallucinations of vigorous figures especially during the night. The most interesting thing about him was that he had a mark on his right hand that looked like a diamond with an eagle in its centre, an eagle that looked just like the saviour eagle is said to save the world from evil one day.

While Peter lay asleep in his slumber bed, the light rays of the sun pierced through his window silently like a spy on a mission breaking the darkness in his room. The spy at first lingered around a bit and started moving towards Peter. It came closer and closer and finally pounced upon him. Peter sprang from his bed crying out loud

“Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Its got me! Its got me!”

He stood up and slowly opened his eyes to see who had tried to suffocate him. He asked

“Who is out there? Come out who ever you are”

But he heard nothing but the sound of him gasping for breath. He peered around a bit and saw the sun’s rays on his bed. He realised that he was having one of his crazy hallucinations.

He walked towards the window and peered out but his eyes got blinded by the sun’s strong rays which were beaming at him. He said to himself

“It sure is unusually bright for a place like this”

And closed his curtains and went back to look at the calendar. It was the 13th day of November which was the worst day of a month for him and to make things even worse it was Friday the worst day of the week for him.

So he went back to his slumber again unaware of what time it was. He started to have a nightmare of his father leaving him and his mother, Lurie Preyer on a journey in search of someone with Dougless Joans, the father of Peter’s friend Macleo Joans. His father was a strong man just like peter. He had a mark on his left hand which looked like a diamond with an alien with a snake on its shoulder.

Dougless looked like a man of about 43 years of age. His hair was a genuine blend of brown and black. He had eyes that were a blend of green and blue. He was pretty built and unusually white. Suddenly dark clouds gathered and everything around him disappeared. Now only Peter and his father remained alone in the darkness. All of a sudden a lighting bolt jolted at his father.

Peter sprang from his bed and hit the ceiling and fell back again. Looking around he gasped heavily for breath. Soon he realised that he was having a nightmare. He got so scared from his dream that he didn’t want to sleep again. Suddenly he heard his mother, Lurie Preyer shouting out to him

“Peter! Wake up you sleepy head. You are going to be late”

Peter retorted

“Mom, what is the time?”

Lurie replied

“”Its 7:00 am son. You won’t be able to get to office in time if you don’t hasten”

Peter got shocked when he heard what time it was. He rushed to brush his teeth. As he was brushing his teeth he saw something that looked like a savage beast in enormous fury in the mirror. He looked back but saw nothing. When he looked back at the mirror again the figure had disappeared. He said to himself

“I have never experienced a day this creepy and unusual”

He got a rapid bath, got dressed up in blue striped shirts and black pants. He raced down the stairs like a Bison in fury.

When he reached the kitchen his mother, Lurie Preyer was cooking breakfast. So he decided to watch T. V until breakfast was ready. The T. V functioned properly for some time and suddenly it started turning on and off by itself and in a few moments it exploded with a flashing light. When the flash had fainted he perceived the T. V in an exploded state with no smoke in sight. Peter thought to himself

“How much more worse can a day get? Everything seems to be going weird. What an unusual day.”

In a few moments he heard Macleo with whom he had been friends with from their childhood days onwards shout

“Peter come, let’s go to the office. Everyone is probably waiting for us. Its getting late.”

Peter opened the door and stood at the threshold and replied to Macleo “Carry on without me for today. I will try to be there in an hour.”

Macleo said

“Alright then” and went away. Macleo had been friends with Peter from his childhood days. They studied in the same school, college and now even in the same office. Macleo was a man about the same size as Peter. He had small light black eyes. His was as dark as pitch. He was white in colour. He was an interesting person to befriend as he always had resolutions for his friends problems, interesting stories to tell and was a true friend. He was also very polite. He was of the same age as Peter. After Macleo left Peter went back inside. When he reached the kitchen his mother had just finished laying down the table with his breakfast. Peter started to dig in into his breakfast. Suddenly Peter omitted something that looked like a strand of badly burned hair.

“Yuck. What is this thing? I can’t stand this damn unusual day anymore.”

Suddenly he heard something soft hit the ground from a great height. Peter shouted out

“What was that?”
