Just another poem about a gal.
She rose to the challenge in the middle of July,
Swore to win my heart and tell my girl goodbye.
Victorious, she strides through my head, fist-pumping,
Wearing her medals, as if she proved something.
She stole my girl's thorny crown
Cepter in hand, threw it down.
Early in August, we decided to get closer
Told of our past, and how it's so over.
Drove down in her Rolls, visited my shack
Red carpet laid out and never looked back.
As much as I'm simple, it's also complicated;
Second thoughts kept her thinking if it's worth the extra baggage.
But she went knees deep, she's a warrior, you know;
A risk-taker, heartbreaker, friend and foe.
So a few weeks later, I climbed up to her palace.
Humble, but confident, I kicked off my sandles.
Red in the cheeks and acheing in my gut,
Face down before the queen of my heart.
If she wants me, I'm hers; I'm nothing extraordinary;
However, she considers me in the same category.
She boasts that I'm her everything, even more than what she asked for.
To me, she's the one; Oh, I know, she's exactly what I asked for.
