Afraid

My life feels like hell
Thinking of her
Why must i dwell
The days start to blur
         
My concept of time
No longer exists
Writing line after line
But something’s amiss

I’m whole yet split
Heart aching and yearning
Stomach nauseous and sick
Blood pulsating and burning

If only I had the courage to say how I feel
I’d finally find peace
Though my heart never healed
My love for you never ceased

I fear what you’ll say
Hope it’s not too late
