Answering the questions in "Visions of....." |
~This was brought up in one of my reviews~ The idea is there, but if you explain who Allen is to begin with it’ll help. If he’s nobody…like a figment of her imagination, maybe you could include a: “Who’s Allen?” Basically, find a way to hint at if she’s crazy or something really mysterious happened. You don’t have to outright say it, but give us a clue and allow our minds to draw the connection. - sizzlesaints You have a good point there, now that I think about it, Allen isn't really talked about much. Barely at all, here's basically who he is. First, Yes, Allen is a real person. Then why are they in the same house? I mentioned Celeste's uncle, her uncle owns a mansion-like boarding house ( that's the closest I can get to describing it, but you get the idea?) for exchange students - like Celeste and Allen- that go to the high school in town. (There are a few other students there but they're not really in the story) Ok, that's great and all, but it doesn't really help us figure out who Allen is. Alright, Allen is one of Celeste's friends from elementary school. They lost touch during middle school and now they live in the same boarding house. In the story, when Celeste tries to think of a good excuse, her thoughts are To see you"...I don't want to send the wrong message - well he is really cute, and might like me-.....no, no, it's too soon for that. " Hinting that, they may have some feelings for each other, but no one is sure yet. ~Also brought up~ “......nobody” would work better than “nothing”. That could work, but the reason her uncle said "nothing" instead of "nobody" is that Celeste's uncle is a logical person. He also has poor social skills ( "I wasn't sure what people do in situations like these,") so he was doing his best to convince her that it's "nothing" and it's all in her head. So what will happen now? Where's Allen? To be honest I don't know where Allen is. I also only have part of the rest of the story made up, so I only have a vague idea of things to come. To be honest, I'm a bit stuck. Which reminds me; if you have any ideas for what you think could happen or should happen, by all means let me know. I'm here, I'm listening. ~ Pisces |
