now bask in benign warmth
Alas! Sweat trickles and prickles
Spoilsport.

So far
from cold harsh winds
warm bodies packed three deep
while grumbling bus inches forward
then stops.

                                              Respite                                                 
No locals move
accept weary journey
traffic jams - routine daily
affair.

Thirsty
they spy a stall
outrageous prices
Indian minds clash with just three
Tourists.

Parting
wave of relief
others speculate now
if chicks are girls, these three must be
French Hens.
