I am so sleepy pounding these keys
I was just awakened by your dreams
All I can say for now is “GO BACK TO SLEEP, PLEASE!”

So your about to leave your wife
That the words you say while in my head
Can you see I am not a part of your life
I’m pleading, “GO BACK TO BED!”

Don’t contact me in my night
Turn over and hold her close
Because I don’t want to be part of your fight
Why wake me “CLOSE YOUR EYES YOU HAVE CHOSE”

So I am going back to dream away
To my pillow and my bed so sweet
So listen to me to me say
“CLOSE YOUR EYES AND GO TO SLEEP”

You think of me and want me so
You were afraid to wait
So back to her you had to go
“NOW LET ME REST FOR GOODNESS SAKE”

I don’t want this connection coming to me
It is not my place to care for you
I want you to be happy and healthy
“BUT THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THAT I CAN DO”

Rest and close your eyes
You have others from your past
Go to them and tell them your lies
“JUST PLEASE ALLOW ME TO SLEEP AT LAST”


This is a plea. Sometimes it does seem that every time a person that I have been with has a problem they are in my dreams. So I decided to write down the emotion that I get.
