My Two Poems

-------"On To The Theatre!"-------------

Butterflies of deception flick wings like eyes.
Reeks of prophetic refuse.
Tingling in a numb shell.
Watchers slink in line to devour needles.
Power is a contradiction.
That which you seek to control
in turn controls you.
A slave of what you hate, you will become.
Moths shrivel into worms,
and apples shrink to sour.
In all arteries of goodness there lurks a disease,
waiting to attack the white.
Beauty is emptiness.
The iris consumes what does not exist,
and creates a three-act play out of shadows.
"On to the Theatre!"
Death to reality...

----------My Cameo---------------

Reflection of an inner portrait
displaying the smooth white backdrop of young life
and the coal-black face of
a bitter and twisted mind.
it hangs a heavy weight about my neck,
testimony to the contradiction.
Smile for the others.
Curve those hardened lips and
play make-believe like usual as I
struggle through the quagmire of deception.
Flutter those stiff lashes
but do not speak the truth,
for that in itself could begin a
war of catastrophic proportions.
Hold fast my pretty cameo.
Let no word of my torment slip off
your marble tongue.
Shine silently for all your darkness is worth.
