The 1st chapter of Triple Secret
Chapter 1: Strangely Strange
It was 11:59, and counting. At the stroke of midnight, a lone figure stepped out of the shadows. The figure glanced at her watch. There were 2 seconds until the others showed up. She knew they would. They always appeared at the last streetlight on Downswood Avenue at 2 seconds after 12.

Her name was Agent Hadal. Agent Stemford and Agent Crendaw were approaching from the west. At a closer glance, Hadal could see that Agent Crendaw was bleeding minorly and leaning heavily on Agent Stemford. Stemford herself had a few cuts but looked well yet shaken.

"What happened?" asked Hadal. Crendaw opened his mouth to reply but Stemford spoke first.

"I decided to take a different route here since I thought I was being followed. I kept glancing behind me, trying to see who it was. While I was looking behind me I tripped over someone. I don't know who it was, I just got up and ran."

"Then you found me." interupted Crendaw. "I was stumbling along like a drunk, but you recognized me. By the way.."

"Shush! But yes, you weren't easy to recognize. Anyway, when I found you, you were staggering all over the place trying not to fall over. I saw 2 masked figures running away, so I figured they were the ones who attacked Crendaw. But it bugs me because they didn't do any more than just bloody him, you know?"

"Yeah, that's strange." replied Hadal. She looked over at Crendaw who had been trying to talk the whole time, only to be interupted.

"What?" asked Hadal.

"Oohhhh... Now you're gonna listen to me?" snapped Crendaw. "Cause I was under the impression that..."

"If you've got to say something, SAY IT ALREADY!!!" shouted Hadal and Stemford together.

"Fine. If you two wanted to know, we're being ambushed." Crendaw said as 5 figures jumped out of the darkness towards them.
