As our life passes

                                            Life

                  As the rays of light peek out from the horizon
                    We have no hint of the miracle that’s about to occur
                  Slowly, silently the burst of energy is upon us
                    As the ball of life ascends into the sky
                  It awakens the landscape beneath
                    Covering it with rays of light and warmth
                  As moisture evaporates off the leaves and blades of grass
                    It's time for life to begin to stir
                  This time is for learning what change this new day brings
                    For finding out what new task lay ahead for us
                  As the sun ascends to its highest arc
                    The light and warmth grow more intense
                  The hectic nature of our life increases
                    Growing more and more complicated
                  So busy are we,  that we don’t even notice
                    The sun has started its slow descent
                  As it reaches the horizon the warmth and light begin to fade
                    So to, has our energy, of this day
                  As the last hint of light fades from this day
                    Though the life and energy of this day may no longer be visible
                  It will live on forever 
                    In everything that the light and warmth touched and left behind
