GOD BLESS MY ENEMIES

The salty mist cast shadows from my tears that fell today.
I'm all alone with so much pain. God, please send help my way.
The turmoil's never ending, the pressure's all too great,
My heart is growing heavy; Help me God, don't make me wait!

Show me how to end this struggle. Give your help to make me strong.
Send your Angels down to guide me--Let me hear your heavenly song.
Teach me why I have to suffer, Why their hatred is turned on me;
Why their selfish greed allows them to cause all this misery.

Can you end this battle shortly; Can you fill their hearts with Love;
If I ask for them Your Blessing,  will you show them from above?
Show them why it is your will now, that they stop their worthless fight.
Just as enemies in battle know that killing is not right!

As I pray for those that hurt me,so their hate will turn to love,
Will your kindness then surround them, with your message from above?
It is for them that I will pray now, That your Kingdom they will seek.
And that when they receive your message, they'll join forces with the meek.

And no longer will they hate me, or cause trouble anymore.
They will find your peace and kindness, like they've never felt before.
