Amelia's day goes from one bad event to another.
I woke in my room. I slowly sat up and looked around. Cash sat at my desk.
" You're fine to go to school you say." He seemed upset.
" Cash I..."
" What's with all these knives?" He asks suddenly changing the subject.
" You wouldn't believe me even if I told you." I said looking away.
" Try me."
" I'm a vampire hunter."
" Ha! You must have hit your head. Wake up Amelia! There's no such thing as vampires!"
That one hit hard. Cash never called me Amelia, and he always trusted me enough to believe me.
" Yes there are Cash! I fight them every night!"
" Get real!" He said standing up.
" Don't believe me! Go ask Leena, she is one!" I yelled, tears now streaming down my face.
Thes was a sure sign of weakness.
" Don't ever talk about my sister again!" He yelled before slamming the door.
My brother, just, disowned me?
" Shit!" I screamed, throwing the lamp across th room.
I grabbed my knives and jumped out my window. I climbed down the tree and restrapped everything. While putting my knife in my back latch Cash ran outside.
" Lia! Don't! You're too weak!"
I ignored his warning and walked away. I was saddened further as I realized he wasn't coming after me.
There was one vampire I was looking for and one alone. I stopped as I realized that familiar aura.
" Looking for me?"
I turned quickly, knife swinging where ever it may hit.
He caught my wrist easily.
" Is this all our encounters are going to consist of? You trying to kill me?"
" I will not rest until I fulfill that task." I said swinging my other arm.
He let out a sigh as he caught my other wrist. " You never even thanked me."
" Why should I thank you?"
" I returned you home safely. I could have killed you and your brainless brother, but instead, I let you live."
" Don't do me favors."
He threw me to the ground.
My strength had not returned.
" Just kill me."
" I'm not going to kill you Raven. You're far too beautiful."
You think trying to flatter me is going to work?"
" Why do you wish to die?"
" I'd rather die than have to spend the rest of my life knowing I lost to you."
" I...."
" Jus kill me!" I yelled, tears not overflowing.
I closed my eyes, awaiting death.
I opened them quickly as I sensed another vampiric aura in front of me.
There, fighting Nicholas, was another vampire. One with an equal amount of power.
I caught a few glimpses of him. Shaggy sandy blonde hair, mezmerizing green eyes, tall, built.
He turned and looked at me. " Run!"
I sat there and watched as they were sent in opposite directions. The blonde looked at me. " Are you deaf or just stupid!? I said run!"
I jumped to my feet, strength suddenly returning. I got in between the two fighting blood suckers, and fought. Just like I was taught.
Ther weren't very interested in me, but rather eachother.
" Raven! Get!" Nicholas yelled, sending a blow past my head.
The blonde nearly hit me, but I ducked.
" Shaughn, you hurt her you die!"
" I have no intentions on hurting the mortal. I'm here to kill you!" He said lunging at him.
I got knocked to the ground. I could feel their power building up. Soon, things would get deadly.
" Lia! Run!" The one known as Shaughn yelled.
My eyes widened. I came to my feet and ran.
I ran the rest of the way home. I didn't stop at the front door, I ran all the way to Cash's room.
He came over to me worried and I threw my arms around him.
" I'm sorry Cash." He hugged me back.
" No, I'm sorry. I should've believed you." He pulled me back and kissed my forehead. " Now get some sleep."
I nodded and left the room. " Night."
" Night sis."
I closed my door and sprawled out on the bed.
Why did I run? Why didn't it bother me when that leech called me Lia?
I take off my knives and throw them to the floor. I soon find myself in a dreamless sleep.
