There are pebbles in my shoes,
and burrs hanging on the cuffs of my
chinos, as I wander. The wind chafes
my face, while the sun sneeks it's rays
through a sky full of clouds. Down the path,
a creek matures into turbulent waters.
I'm standing at the edge and so in awe.
The magnificent water falls with no regard
to me at all. I absorb the roar deep in my
bones, lift my face to the spray, spread
my arms out and let it baptize me,as I fall
. . . . . .into a new life.
