Some relive them through stacks of photo albums; others through lively conversations with relatives we shared our lifetimes with; and still others, quietly, privately, through our dreams. But our imagination has a limitless power that allows us to explore whatever we want, whenever we choose, about whomever we desire, or miss, or long for. Sha Had Come So Far proves that there is no limit to the power of our longing for the past, and how any of us can relive, or once again FEEL those moments lost to time, lost to the finality of death. This story was wonderful in the way it affected myself- everyone will experience something different, of course. I wandered for a long time after I lost my daughter, then my father, then my wife. Visiting the gravesites were somewhat comforting, but also the stark, cold and harsh reminder of forever alone. ' I found myself traveling alot after those losses, from Miami to the Northernmost tip of Alaska; the bottom of Baja California to the edges of Newfoundland. But I always came home, to the midwest, to Chicago. I often drive to the places where I met my wife, where we raised our children, where we were the happiest. Though I know there others alive in those places now, making their own memories and histories, but the sounds of my families' laughter, crying, joyful screaming, and those lost, passionate moans shared with my wife always find their way to my minds' ears when I am near those places. This story, so clear, visually expressive, and eloquently written, touched that part of me. Thank you for writing it.
