Blur The Future

To the blood...
to the pure...
to the hopeful within
         and without.
What did I say
to see you leaving me in this way?

We all go to the churches of our own good intentions.

This doesn't work
as an excuse to hide from you.
What it was;
what it could've been
never was.
The walls are a given
and built for protection,
so what can you say
that'll make me change my mind?
          I dare you...
change my mind!

We believe too much in what we want to hear.

If I end up alone
it isn't your fault
and it's
okay
because I chose
to be this way.
Complacent and aggravated.
What can you learn
from someone who
doesn't want
to learn better?

We could turn our heads
away from this
and head silently,
         swiftly,
into the future.
          Unknown.

Kiss me unintendedly.
Create another conspiracy.
Underestimate my truths.
What's the worth
         if it all comes from you?
This is as classless as all of the aspects
         that surround
         us now.

You'll have to forgive me
or you'll have no choice
          but to forget me
in what will become
a distant future for us both.
I laid it out and tried it on
but it never fit right
and we'll only have to look forward
to what we have to come.
