I have a silver teacup,
But nothing to fill it up.
And if I don’t fill my teacup,
The queen will surely erupt!
She asked for a drink of water,
But the well had nothing to give.
And when I returned empty handed
She said “Bring me some wine and you’ll live.”
So I asked the kind amontillado,
“is there any wine you can spare?”
And with a quick wink and a smirk on his face
He said, “Yes right over there…”
He took me into a dark lit room,
To see just what he had left.
And when I put down my shining silver teacup
He snatched it up quick and then left!
So I returned to the Queen with nothing to drink
And no cup to drink nothing in,
I begged of the Queen to spare me my life!
And her frown turned into a grin
She took a chance on an unknown boy
So the fault was all her own.
So she took my hand, and quietly said,
“Why don’t you just go home.”
