All are invited to try their hand,
Under the aegis of Early Bird,
To learn new skills, and tasks understand,
Honour knack with pen and written word.
Only the bold and sincere should come;
Round One begins in earnest today,
So let’s follow the beat of the drum.

Stand by now folks, for the launch of play,
Please wait for the start whistle to sound.
Onwards then, it’s each one for himself,
The contestants are in thought profound;
Leaving behind dreams of fame or pelf,
Illusive delicate forms arise.
Genius displayed in guise anew,
How will it please stringent judge’s eyes,
These offerings by me or by you?
