I have been walking along
a road going nowhere.
I have had few pleasures but
a lot of pain to share.
Having walked too long I feel
that I am a bit tired.
No rest in even old age,
from work though I retired.
Shall I blame the world for this?
No, these are my travails?
It is the traveller’s fault
if in the path he fails.
I chose the road of money,
which is but a mirage.
None can, on this bumpy road,
happiness, envisage.
Now I walk with bliss and joy
the road of contentment.
No more do I chase money.
No more my resentment.
