What is Lonely?

Is lonely being alone or is lonely being lonesome?
This is what lonely is to me.

Lonely is having a family but having no soulmate,

Lonely is doing all you can to please others yet always feeling unappreciated,

Lonely is being loved by many yet feeling unwelcome by all,

Lonely is looking to the heavenly nights sky and seeing the eyes of all those I lost,

Lonely are the tears that fall down my cheek with no soft hand to wipe them away,

Lonely are the days, Lonelier are the nights.
