The happiness you bring me compared to everyone else is much better
People don't understand how you make me happy but you and i both understand each other
They think if they have someone that looks good and treats them well thats what its all about
But i know a lot of people that had that but is still on the look out
Its all about trusting in each other and sticking together when the times get rough
And disreguard everything else that other people say because they won't make you happy enough.
The happiness that i received from Latrice is more than anyone could ever ask for.
When other people try to holla at her she always shuts the door
But when it comes to me and the fact that we go to different schools
That doesn't phase us at all because we're no where near fools
My heart cries out to her and my soul yerns for hers over any other girl
She's more of a treasure than a jeweler finding a diamond or a pearl
Throughout all the stuff that we've been through we stay content and loyal
She protects me from the fire and the heat just like fire-proof tin foil
I'm fighting for her and she knows that too
She's my blessing and i'm hers too
Though my head hasn't been on straight
She gives me time to contemplate
Over the things i've done wrong in the past
And how our happiness will always last.
They say that true love is so hard to find though they haven't tried hard enough
Since we've both tried hard we found each other like a diamond in a rut
You know just what to say when i'm down and you know just how to treat me
You're not like these other girls going out partying all night and dancing with folks you don't know.
