Some humans are hateful,
sour, and mean
while others are grateful
for every sunrise they've seen.

Some people are fools
while others are stern,
some try to be cruel,
and others, to learn.

Some souls are serene
safe in destiny,
their consciences clean
of moral ambiguity.

Other spirits are hectic,
chaos rampant, run amok,
stormy and eclectic,
relying on dumb luck.

Some scenes are bleak,
ashen, barren, bereft.
Some scenes we seek
to keep from being left.

Some take offense
at the slightest of slights,
others have no defense
against usurpation of rights.
