How does Christ see us? How do we see people? |
Oh to have the eyes of Jesus! ... eyes that shine through a beautiful soul, a soul in intimate fellowship with the Father, eyes that penetrate through a frozen surface that look with love, deep into the soul of another. A connection in a glance. To be real beyond the natural. To see each person as a treasured possession of Heaven. i believe i would have loved You when You were here, not because i would have seen You but because You would have seen me ... not passed me by, feeling nothing, but reaching out in love with a single glance. You wouldn't have had to say anything, Your eyes would have drawn me to You. I would have seen my worth and the love You have for me, in Your eyes. Words are meaningless if they are not spoken in love. Every letter, consonant and vowel, strung together in words and sentences and uttered from Your mouth had meaning because of how You spoke them, carried on to fulfill a greater purpose because of how Your hands reached out and Your eyes searched and gave life to the hearts of those who were open to the truth. They saw God's heart when they looked into Your eyes, and they were changed! It wasn't about doctrine or theology or right or wrong It was about what was right infront of them, what was real and true... Not according to educated voices, books or tapes or newspapers and magazines but real and true to the heart and soul of man The empty yearning from deep within, ... fulfilled in a glance from the Saviour of the world. |
