The day so cold and weary,
The skies dark and empty.
No emotion,
No purpose,
Nothing.
I soak up the glory of relaxation.
A day without a true beginning has no conclusion.
The sun still sinks,
The world still changes.
The last hours have come
I smoke myself to sleep.
Another day is lost,
With nothing to show,
It comes as it goes.
Another second in this useless life,
Passed away,
Thrown away.
So little point.
My existence is too frequently a burden,
Never much of a surprise.
I smoke until I forget.
I smoke until I smile.
Until my lungs choke,
With such vivacity.
I struggle to breathe
Air not tainted.
There are no rainbows here,
Just a black, starless sky.
