Our Tears

Maybe the tears that we cry
Are meant to be what they are,
A way to help ease our scars,
To help sooth our broken hearts.

An expression of joy,
An expression of pain,
A way for our feelings
To come pouring out like rain.
A way to make our sadness
Go down the drain.

Our tears fall because
Sometimes we do too;
Sometimes you fall on me,
Other times, I fall on you.

but...
That is why we are here
For each other
To help us make it through
The stormy weather.
