O man, as you build rockets and spaceships
To traverse skies and go beyond the stars,
I hope you know that your adventure this
Will one day cause global tension and wars.
To earth I sent you hoping you would love
Your brothers, sisters, who are my children.
But your eyes are fixed at the skies above,
While hunger stalks a billion men, women.
No, please don’t try to come near my heavens.
I’ll come down myself and bless a meek heart.
I love him who a hungry man beckons
And feeds him, wipes his tears and gives comfort.
Earth’s men and women, just remember this:
Don’t bomb others; don’t indulge in skirmish.
