What is the true meaning of a friend in your heart?
Is it someone who’s there for you?
And, who’ll never part?

From where within will this person begin?
Will they always be there?
Or, will they simply pretend?

What does this friend have to offer to you?
Could it be Understanding?
Always knowing what to do?

So, how do you know this person is truly a friend?
Do you seriously need to know the answer?
Don’t you know from within?

What do you give to a friend who is for real?
Do you show them you care?
OR…
do you write a poem to reveal?

THAT…
Flower you are,
What I would call a true friend,
You ARE a rising star!
