My take on Sex
Very rarely nowadays is sex discussed in a mature manner, so I will attempt to do so. For a long while now, I’ve been of the belief that sex in it’s purest and truest form cannot be separated from Love. When this happens sex becomes nothing more than a superficial pleasure. It also becomes something of a power tool in which both men and women use. Men use it as a source of power and domination. A way of showing their "manliness". Women often times use it as a form of control and manipulation.

When sex is used in these ways, it not only lessens the value of sex, but it also makes us view one another not as human beings, but as sex objects. Not to mention that it makes us shallow. Since our society has such a relaxed view of sex and see nothing morally wrong with "casual" sex, it’s no wonder why there has been an explosion of STD’s over the years (not to mention AIDS) and teen pregnancies.

Sex should be the physical expression of the Love between two people. It shouldn’t be had to just to "bust a nut". Sex has to be connected to something more than just lust. It has to be an emotional attachment. You should Love the person you give your body to. Sex between to people (in the context of Love and not lust) is two people not only valuing each other’s bodies, but you’re valuing eachother as people. You’re celebrating what that person represents in the form of physical/erotic Love.

Our bodies are to be treated with respect. We should value them (God created us in His image, did he not?). Sex is not something to be taken lightly. We should only give our bodies to someone whom we Love (preferably within the context of Marriage). Your virginity (if you’re a virgin) is something that also should be cherished and valued until you find the right person and the Love is there.I myself am a virgin and have no shame in being one. Do I have sexual urges? Of course. Who doesn’t? But I have enough self-control and I refuse to lose it to just anyone. I will lose it to a girl I Love and care about. Period. Beauty comes in many forms, and I'm sure that sex between two people who Love each other is the most beautiful thing.

*Love God Always*
