Counting the Raindrops. Each one that falls.
Counting the raindrops, till one of them calls
me back to heaven, where i belong.
So i'm not here on earth, singing sad
songs. Nights like this, clear skies no clouds,
i wish raindrops would come down. Dampening my
hair, creating a wet crown. Still counting the raindrops
till i've lost count. Yet i've found that they won't take me with
them. But i don't lose hope. Counting in the cold, fighting off a runny nose.
My courage keeps me warm, as a swarm of water comes down harder.
Still i bother them to take me with. But i'm ignored
like i've said nothing, like a dead stick.
Still counting the raindrops, till i'm tol;d to come inside.
But even inside the window, i never lose stride.
3,256,000 raindrops all ignore my plea. There no different
but the same as my mommy.
