Opening the window, she breathed the fresh crisp air deeply and admired the magnificent vista spread below her. The crystal clear water sparkled and winked as it lapped gently onto the warm sand. A slight breeze rippled the fronds of the cluster of palm trees near the waters edge. Sighing with happiness, she turned inward and looked fondly at her husband, one arm flung across his face, the bedclothes runched around his middle, showing his tanned, perfectly toned chest off. ‘What a great pity‘, she thought as she tenderly smoothed a few strands of his honey-coloured hair back off his face, ‘that all this has to end‘. She gazed at him a few minutes more, then slipping on her sandals, she picked up the bloodstained knife, wiped it clean on the sheets and put it in her bag. She got her coat and taking one last look around, closed the door on the mutilated bloody corpse on the bed.
