Written in response to rape charges against athletes. |
AN APPEAL TO ATHLETES Athletes, your bodies are strong. In sports-field you move along With a grace that is so raw That it invites instant awe. You have among spectators, Only lovers, no haters. Women give you smile and kiss, Which, certainly, is true bliss. Athletes, you can well control Physical reflexes all So that rivals you may trounce And victoriously bounce. But, you have reflexes more, Whose nature is not so pure You don’t control them at all And indulge in a free fall. Athletes, if in bed you roll With an unsuspecting doll Clasping, grasping, tender flesh, Smothering a beauty fresh, This won’t do your genre proud. Your valour, yes, It would shroud. It shows you in true colours. Your image certainly blurs. Athletes, you better restrict Yourself in a manner strict. When you are made for outdoors, Why so defile the indoors? • Written in 7-7-7-7 meter, aabb rhyme. • Initially written as item 806391, which was deleted on 19 December 04.
