"If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially." Hemingway "A democracy requires the knowledge, experience and desire from its leaders to preseverve the institutions of justice."* Misses Bridges scratches her chin, "I don't see why good people can't just get along." Her furry terrier Terry snuggles onto her belly. "Well, Terry who are you going to vote for?" Terry looks up and puts his head down again. "Hmmmm, I like a canidate who knows how to be curtious and has a nice smile." Misses Bridges rubs the back of Terry's head. He lets his tongue fall from the left side of his mouth. "You can put lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig." that's not very nice Misses Bridges thought. "I think I'll vote for McCain. He's a nice man." It was time for her mid-day nap. At eighty years of age, Misses Bridges needed her naps. Her nurse helped her to bed. "Brook? Have you selected a canidate?" she asked politely of her nurse. "Obamma. He'll fix this mess were in." Misses Bridges pondered, "Well, maybe there's more to this than meets the eye." It was sleepy time and Terry curled up at her feet. Terry never worried about the details. :) JFK; 1961 UN ASSEMBLY. |
