An Update on Oh Nance, I Can't Fix You |
God has placed me in a special place in her life I am to be of service to her and help, not hurt her What might I get in return you ask? Intangibles I reply The joy of watching her grow ever so slightly one day at a time It is my hope and hopefully God's will that she continue on this path Taking baby steps along the way each day every day one more time Building the spiritual muscles and strength that she needs to be free Striving to be relieved of the bondage of self and finding new happiness I saw her last night and she was different, she is changing Hope in her eyes, a calmness in her soul, strength in her voice God is working the miracle ever so slowly, ever so quietly She is being made whole right in front of my eyes, I am blessed I believe she is getting it, she is catching on, she is recovering How great Gods' work is as I witness His power in action Yet fragile in her search, she is aware of the changes in her life Grace surrounds her as a warm cloak against the bitter cold wind of despair She carries herself with a new confidence and in a new Light The Sunlight of the Spirit has her awash in Its glow Gods' gifts are amazing in my eyes each time I see this I am truly blessed because I have seen it many times before It is still early, she still may face the danger of her disease It is in remission, silently sleeping for now as she trudges onward It may come back with a vengeance and disrupt her again It is why one day at a time is the way for folks like us Oh Nance I can't fix you, God certainly is |
